Yizkor is recited on the second day of the holiday
(this year on Saturday, May 30). There is something unique about memorializing the souls of our departed loved ones within the holy walls of the Shul, with the Torah scrolls bearing witness to our love, loyalty, gratitude and continuity.
Nevertheless, we must each try to utilize that auspicious time of the holiday to reflect upon the memories and legacies of our loved ones.
It is a painful reality that we won’t be able to afford our loved ones the honor and dignity of a shul service, yet, in addition to your own at-homeyizkor
recitation, I am offering to read the names of your loved ones in Shul – in front of the open Ark – on your behalf.

May the souls of our righteous loved ones achieve anAliya

to bring this awful pandemic to a swift end.
